I really want to try out this program, but I can’t get it to work. When I click the .exe file, the program launches. Then after I create a new file, I get a dialogue with an error code, TImageGL/MakeTexture Error: 1280. Is this happening to anyone else?

What kind of PC, OS, graphic card do you have?

I am using Windows 8, and my graphics card is AMD Quad-Core Processor A4-5000.

Also, I think there might’ve been an issue with the setup. There wasn’t actually an installation process. All I did was download, click “extract,” and then clicked the .exe file.

I think there are some problems with OpenGL. JugiPaint uses some basic old OpenGL functions and there are problems if graphic drivers no longer support them fully. I will add support for more modern OpenGL in future. Not a priority though as most graphics cards do work with current implementation.

Okay, well thank you for adding more support on the OpenGL. I hope everything works out.

Just a note: if I install the Mali OpenGL ES Emulator on a Surface Pro 3, I get the same error.

(Even after some Intel video driver updates, without the OpenGL ES Emulator I still get a blank white area instead of the grey “desktop” and the “canvas” – although the canvas and vector strokes show in the Navigator view.)

Oops, forgot I’d already posted this (and been answered) in the Surface Pro 3 thread.
