After more than two years of development JugiPaint has finally reached a state where I am content enough with it to put it out as a commercial product. This release brings many improvements over the previous development versions. It has new layers types (filter and text layers), new asset items (preset images) and improved GUI. Various modifications, additions and fixes were made in order to give JugiPaint more polished look.
JugiPaint requires 64-bit Windows and to be honest, I doubt it will ever support 32-bit Windows. The versions for Mac OS X and Linux are technically much more viable so there are chances they will arrive in future but my current focus is on the Windows version. The list of features I would like to implement in JugiPaint is still long and you can expect that JugiPaint will continue to grow and evolve. I will try my best too keep it simple for usage.
In the near future I plane to make some practical guides for using JugiPaint (e.g. guides for using the vector tools). If you would like a guide on a topic which cause you problems I would like to hear about it.
Yay! I’ve already got my copy.
I think I understand them now from playing with the beta versions, but the part that originally confused me the most was panels, which are fairly unique in JugiPaint. That’s an area where I think a guide would be very beneficial.
I can’t wait for having it on mac version! Hope it will happen!
